As promised we are on the ground in Houston and ready for liftoff. Some interesting things may happen this week, with The Masters just around the corner everyone wants to win this event, for most its the last chance for this year. The GC of Houston is a familiar pre-Masters tune up, running out at 7,441 yards and playing to a par of 72.
It features the expected quartet of par 5's and par 3's to go with 10 par 4's. Players should expect extremely fast greens set to mimic the putting surfaces of Augusta National that await next week.It is a course that can favor longer players with the ability to navigate par 5 scoring opportunities.
Also of note, three of the par 4's measure 480 yards or longer. Past champs like J.B. Holmes, Phil Mickelson and Adam Scott drive home the point.
Who's our Pick? John Rahm placed 2nd last week, he's definitely in the mix, also Jordan Spieth - the forgotten man as DJ trampled the field once again last week.

A view from the 18th tee, the green is 484 yards away! Man that's one intimidating tee shot.
