Henley & So Yeon Ryu Win

Houston Texas: Dramatic days at both The PGA Tour and L.P.G.A Tour events today. The PGA Tour event was played early in Texas due to weather concerns, is was all over by 2pm local time with Russell Henley firing a stunning 64 to win by 2. That gets him into The Master folks, what a cool moment when that dawned on him. He played great all week, hit more drivers than most and was hitting them very very well.

Rancho Mirage California: Yet another rules debacle from golf rules authorities saw Lexi Thompson given a 4 stroke penalty retrospectively relating back to some untidy work marking her ball on Saturday. This all happened on hole 13 of the final round, visibly upset at going from a strong lead to one behind, Lexi immediately made birdie to get back into a tie.

Unfortunately she lost in a playoff with So Yeon Ryu, losing to a birdie.

The golfing world is venting their frustration it this type of nit picking rule, also not liking at all the fans phone call to report it. Many top players were stinging on twitter, see some tweets here: https://twitter.com/search?f=news&vertical=default&q=4%20shot%20penalty&src=typd
