Travel Tips - Aberdeen

"Aberdeen the granite city" the description of the stone used for many of the buildings brings to mind images of a grey gloomy place.

Certainly that's far from the case. Aberdeen is a vibrant, modern wealthy city with much to see and do.

The are large numbers of hotels in the central city, they service the oil industry. If a kitchen and washing facilities are important, we recommend the Skeen House Holburn hotel, there is a good mix of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, and the location is excellent, close to most central activities.

If you want a more salubrious stay, the Marcliffe Hotel & Spa is an excellent old manor house, the food is excellent and not far out of town,
