Today we look at The 2019 Masters Championship.
Many people say this was the greatest comeback in sports history. That may be up for debate, but it's the greatest thing I ever saw.
After a solid front nine Tiger seemed to be almost out of the tournament. Francesco Molinari who started with a one shot lead was solid as a rock, and after a Tiger bogey at the 10th the lead was two.
Once again the short 12th hole turned the Tournament on its head, with both Finau and Molinari finding the water. Meanwhile Brooks Koepka was making Eagle on 15 and all of a sudden we had 5 tied at -12.
Tiger took his opportunity with birdies at 13, 15 and 16, his finish was clinical. In 2005 he bogeyed the last two holes to fall into a playoff, this time he was focused like the days of old. He has since called his tee shot on 17 one of the best shots he ever hit. Once he found that fairway the second shot held few demons, and he could afford a bogey at the last to secure the title.
In a place famous for deafening roars, the noise at 18 was the loudest ever heard for a winning putt. The Tiger chants continued for an hour after the winning putt as the crowd walked home, miles from the course your could hear "Tiger, Tiger, Tiger" ringing out.
It seemed the discontent with the winner last year was now a distant memory, the right man had won. History was made.
